The future of e-learning



The following article was published in Open Learning Today [July 2002, Issue 61], the journal of the British Association of Open Learning.

As John Chambers, CEO of Cisco, indicated that ‘education over the Internet is going to be so big it’s going to make email look like a rounding error’ ther are some exceptionally misleading statements to the casual observer.

As some 600 billion emails are sent in the US each year alone, I don’t think e-learning is quite going to reach those levels just yet - so read on!
